I was not able to locate the crash logs in the above two locations. Next, it appears that the issue may be with the gem executable and its use of the psych gem because I can easily reproduce the issue with the following:

$ gem list

or

$ gem

I have been able to use the Ruby 2.0.0dev interpreter with success without any issues.

In Mountain Lion, crash logs are in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports or /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports. Please check these places and attach if you found.

try again after cleaning ruby-head gemset and ruby-head installation if you can: rm -rf ~/.rvm/gems/ruby-head ~/.rvm/rubies/ruby-head
