Description

When I attempt to compile Ruby 2.0.0-p247 using RVM, my iMac either crashes and displays the white screen of death or will just reboot and go back to the login prompt.

I put in a ticket with RVM, but after review it seems that the issue is with Ruby. It seems to crash each time Ruby is "checking if fork works with pthread" Here are some log files that might be helpful.

rvm --debug install 2.0.0 2>&1 - https://gist.github.com/jonwerbell/5893780
config.log - https://gist.github.com/jonwerbell/5894795
configure.log - https://gist.github.com/jonwerbell/5894785

Thank you.

Sounds like an OS's bug.

What's your system's version?

If it happens only one machine, it may be caused by hardware failure, e.g., HDD error.
Otherwise it occurs on other machines, it must be a bug of the OS.
