I'm trying to run migrations or start my server on OSX. I was previously using an Ubuntu vagrant box. Anytime I try it crashes.

The crash happens in rb_mysql_connect in mysql2.bundle. You should probably file an issue on their GitHub: https://github.com/brianmario/mysql2/issues
