I also vote for this option for both hashes and named params. After using Es6 and going back to Ruby, the ruby way felt clunky to me.

- We recently ran into this same problem in Ruby 2.4.x, however this appears to be fixed in Ruby 2.5.
In the command below you should see an exception in the output, but instead the application crashes with no output.

While it might be odd or new for some, using this in ES6 has been very nice. I am often wishing this was supported in Ruby. The cognitive load is so much nicer and less redundant.
I wish it could be reconsidered.
