Hi,

2009/1/31 Patrick Roemer redmine@ruby-lang.org:

Linux 2.6.25.20-0.1-pae #1 SMP 2008-12-12 20:30:38 +0100 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
openSUSE 11.0 (i586)
gcc version 4.3.1 20080507 (prerelease) gcc-4_3-branch revision 135036
ruby-1.9.1-p0

This seems to be SUSE's gcc issue. [ruby-core:18029] [ruby-core:18366]
[ruby-core:20553]

You can do:

  • use openSUSE 11.1,
  • build correct gcc by yourself, or
  • configure with optflags="-O0" (which is the easiest but dodgy solution; I wouldn't recomment)

Thanks,

Updating to SuSE 11.1 (gcc 4.3.2) worked, thanks!
