こちらの記事に，

dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _rb_thread_blocking_region_begin

Expected in: flat namespace

とのことですが，これらの関数は include/ruby/backward/rubysig.h にあるが，visibility の設定を忘れていたため拡張ライブラリから使えなくなっていた（nobu 談），とのことですので，修正が必要に思います．

2.0.0，および 1.9.3 へのバックポートをすると良いように思います，というわけで中田さんに振っておきます．
